autumn leaves resting for a short while in the gutter after having been blown all over the street, now waiting for the next gust of wind to take them dancing further and further..

yes, exhausting, but that's why they were taking a rest, a long rest even... :-)
They are rather artistically tempered aren't they! Greatly admire performance art :)
Nice job of seeing beauty in the commonplace. Maybe "leaves" would be a good Illo Friday topic...hmmm.
