the books on edge is not my own idea, it was an exercise in 'Color Mixing - The Van Wyk Way' by Helen van Wyk, but i used my own books and apple... :) i love that book, it teaches you so much about colors, even though it is written for oil paint..
I like how you put the books on their sides...you achieved a great effect with the cover and pages, especially on the brown book. Nice job with the shadows as well. And..is that a Macintosh apple? It looks tasty!
Aeiiiiiiiii! Didn't that old librarian who constantly shushed you tell you never ever to put books on their edges that way? It kills the binding. Ah well... the sacrifices we make for art....!

But what I like about it is the books on edge--not one other EDMer has drawn them that way :-)
Thanks for testing my word verification. Does it seem acceptable . . . or too paranoid?
it was easy, takes just a little more time...

ohh the drawing is just perfect in its own way! i liked the shadows too... 8)
i don't like it's own way very much... asked my son to try and scan it so at least the colors will look better... the paper should be white...
thanks though... :)
I like the three object composition. Having three items together seems to work very well. You got nice nubby texture by using the crayons.
thank you, Kathleen Marie.. :)

the apple is a Braeburn, New Zealand... :)
