on a cold winter afternoon, what better can you do than curl up in a chair near the stove...

This looks wonderful! I love the quality of light you've captured here...it really feels like the last bit of light on a winter afternoon. I love the golden brown tones and the strong shadows, and the bit of red on the mantle creates a nice center. Is this your house? It looks like there's a collection of elephant figures on the mantle!

you're right, the elephants are a very small collection, the mantelpiece, the ficus elastica (plant) and the 60's chair i made myself, scale 1:12.. the chair is made after one i used to have.. the stove is a tin pencil sharpener i painted.. the light is indeed natural.. :)

OOOhhh, is this a room in a home made doll or small critter house? WOW! It's a lovely 60s room to curl up near the stove :)

this is really just a small set up i did for the photo.. in a doll house you hardly have room to make pics..

It has the light of a Vermeer...and I love the elephants.
I collect picture books as well, that one you've posted above seems to be beautiful.Where do you have more pictures of it? At Flickr?

That is an incredible piece. It is so picture perfect. And the lighting. The earthly tones and shadows. Very well thought out image if I may say.
