so there she was, lying on a nice plate but with too fresh memories of hanging in a sunny spot to be happy right now... little did she realize she was at the end of her short life..

She is beautiful and it will be very sad her freshness will come to a bitter(n) end. I am glad her memories were happy :) She is also lucky to be surrounded by a nice plate!
This is a fine composition! I love the colors...the orange against the blue and white bowl, the green leaves...it's very delicious and fresh looking. The perspective from above really gives it an almost abstract look as the viewer can focus on the play of colors, textures and shapes. On closer look, the significance of your caption becomes clear...well done! Poor little fruit. Really nice and...fresh!
it took me a little bit to realize what was going on in this pic, but i came back at it with a fresh pair of eyeballs.... nothing's fresher than a tasty piece of fruit still contemplating its fate! :-0

There is no doubt being mentally unbalanced becomes a problem to those around you. Thanks for the beauty compliment, but mine is faded compared to Passionfruit's. You should take credit for arranging her beautiful death bed and also in beautiful light, focus and perspective :)

Dreaming of youth... Is it worse to be consumed than to fall off the tree and molder in the wilderness. The composition - colour, placement of shapes and textures - all work really well. It's kind of a photo comic!
