this afternoon i was to meet someone who didn't show up... but as there was a fair in town i could take a ride in this ferriswheel..... i happened to have my cam with me, with this result.. the rest (a large part of the town where i live) you can see on flickr! if you click on the picture.. :)

I would say that everything came together in a serendipitous way! This is framed really well...I love the glimpse of the color grounds through the bars of your seat! I especially like how the roof of the tent(?) is cut diagonally. It's such a great composition.

Apart from the vertigo it induces, I really like this picture! The framing of the objects and people on the ground is just right: there's a wonderful reverse L-shaped space around the purple roof in particular. The greys with coloured highlights also works really well. Just a great picture!
i really am happy that all of you saw everything i saw and meant to express.. i do suffer of vertigo (though less and less these days..), so it took some courage to go in that gigantic machine and then look down.. and fish the cam from the depth of my bag... and start shooting... :)
i'm not sure if you were being ironic in the comment that you made to my blog. if you were, i would just like to tell you that, unfortunatelly, i'm not skilled enough to do nice drawings, but still i believe that i could give a creative contribution to illustration friday. please be pacient about my effords.
This photo has really strong graphic compositional qualities (phew!). That's the first thing I noticed, THEN I noticed that it was a photo!

Vfm4, you got the right shot, vertigo aside! I took my younger two children in a Ferris wheel the other day for the first time and, in spite of the initial fear one of them felt, they both really enjoyed it. As for some of those other rides - you couldn't pay me enough to go on them!
