what medium did u use? this looks great! it looks like you put an underpainting and scratched the surface to create this effect (using crayons maybe?)

thank you, Carra!

i used ordinary school chalk on an old black board, Arvindh. the whole drawing is already washed away and i can draw again on the (more or less clean) surface... :)

The smudginess around the image gives it an ethereal, misty quality. Who knew chalk and chalkboards had such potential? Very original.

I really love this - visually and conceptually! I like the scratchy white lines against the slate blue. I also really like how you've smudged the chalk around the figure to create a little glow...it's awesome! The concept that this can be simply washed away makes this a complete expereince for this week's topic...brilliant!

Isn't it lovely? Just a few well placed lines...and RAIN! You can actually smell rain and hear the rumble of fading thunder.

Zou je even contact met mij op willen nemen, ivm. een berichtje wat ik zag waarin je het had over een watertorenposter. Ik ben bezig om een en ander in kaart te brengen (zie mijn weblog op http://school-s-out.spaces.live.com/)
